Whats Left is all

So, last couple Months, ive been battling procrastination and trying to continue to get this game out before random deadlines, like Halloween, My Birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, The End of the Year.....

Ill be honest,. the way its looking, I have to make some new calculations on what i want to do, and what i need to do.

now, that being said, heres some things that I still 'need' to do:

Map the entire world
code in events
icon hostile mobs
code in Spell, Passive, and Magic Gain systems
code in the last of the old skills(Wood Cutting)

now, most of these are pretty self explanatory, and pretty much self explanatory as to why they are still on my list, because ive been focused with magics, even as of late, ive been more interested in Requip then the Bandits as far as it comes to the Weapons ive been making.

now, this is all fine and dandy, but what am i going to do right?

well, i dont like to think about and then run off to work, but Im going to start work on the Hostile Mobs today, probably start with the Dragon, and the Lizard people, along with trying to fix the bugs in the event code for the Bandit Invasion

I want to help come up with ideas for bandits <3??

like i said, mostly just fixing the code for the Bandit Invasion Event, but if you have ideas, dont feel like you cant spitball them out, if their overcomplicated I wont implement them right away, but Ill consider it.

anyway, I ended up walking home, which took 2 hours, and after I updated the magic guide with a full list of magics and spells, i didnt really want to do anything, and ended up sleeping for 5 hours. Im working on code recently, including Spell Gains, I was working on the order, and how Airspace learns its spells, along with range, damage, and other variables that i left as 'generic'

and Im going to try and start on the dragon, which is going to be a 3x3 square mob, or around 120x120 pixels.

also going to work on the Exceed, starting with a basic image i happen to have from a screenshot from the final days of the old fairy tail.

didnt get much sleep last night, so i ended up iconning & coding

anyway, i added The Exceeds in.

pretty simple, i started with the basic image that Mei did for the old version, and i bitchslapped it together to make a new exceed that looks quite a bit better, then i formatted its base fur and eyes  so that i could change their colors at will.

I also started to add in the ability to Tame things, like exceeds,

which i will continue to work on right after i get home today from work >.>

I also improved the Walker proc(thats the proc that tells npcs to move btw) so that it wouldnt lag the game down thinking it was in an infinite loop(tbh not that hard to fix), and added in my new code for having more then one Follower, and once I code in Taming all the way, and get bored enough Im going to have an army of exceeds for no reason(something im not going to let you guys do >.>).

right anyway, hour and a half from right now im going to continue to work on taming and allowing you to command these ai controlled mobs

itll be a pretty simple combination of code ive already used, and code ive recently figured out.

basically, when you tame them, theyll be added to a list specific to you, each time the mob updates its stats, itll be saved back to this list, and, unless they die, they can be recalled from this list.

now, when you logout, all tamed mobs out will be auto recalledmto the list, so if we reset the servers connection, you wont lose the mobs you command.

now, because of this, when you do have a mob under your command, youll gain a plethera of new verbs to set your minions to attack on sight, defend their leader(you), Hunt a Target, or just to come back to you if they get lost.

which reminds me...eh, ill tell you more later, anyway, with christmas coming up, i have 2 days off, so ill be super focused, and if your lucky, ill be able to add in Celestial Spirit Magic, Angel Magic, Arc of Embodiment Magic, Necromancer Curse, and more.

of course about half that list is if your SUPER lucky, chances are ill end up doing Celestial Spirit Magic whether or not itll drive me insane in the process

imma try and post images from ft's development later tonight/early tomorrow morning, so expect some minor awesomeness

well, you can now take any fish up to any Feral Exceed(legendaries have no tame item) and use the Tame verb in Commands tab, if they accept you, you get to rename the mob.

its a semi-not awesome Christmas present to all of you people who are bored enough to do something on paint(btw, the squares around each image are the limit of the icon space :p)

anyway, going to continue working, although i might be out of town for a while today, i made sure that you could, in theory, have moire then one follower at a time, which is great news, I also saved up the map of Fiore so...yeah, thats happening....wish me good luck on that.

so, i didn't get anything done the last two days because it was Christmas and my friends are douchebags, so todayish im going to try and map(i tried that the other day, but my laptop ended up getting unplugged before i remembered to save), gong to be great, or suck...one of those things.....

anyway, other then that, ill be off for a while maybe as i try and actually work the next couple days at least till my next day off, so see you guys then

im already working on the new map(anyone remember how big ryans old map was?), tackling a rough 'like Fiore' design, with added 'theres a lot of vagueish things going on in here, so ill just do whatever i want'

No offense to ryan but i didnt really like his map... the amount of times i got lost because eveywhere looked the same was just bad <----

well, atm i have mine going round 740x640, and thats just Fiore.

which reminds me, ive been doing some 'research' to help my mapping, a good number of the guilds dont have locations that are specific, if at all existent, i was barely able to add a couple things to the original map to make it at all effective.

some of the things my noting has noticed:

Red Lizard used to exist, but in anime is dead, and is on Tenrou Island, probably will still put this in as i have nothing else to do.
Grimmore Heart lives in an Airship, so thats what their getting, atleast on the inside.
Tartarus calls Cube Home......so, yeah.
pretty much all of the following guilds have uber vague locations: Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, Cait Shelter, Succubus Eye, Quattro Cerberus....

anyway, so...................................

yknow, i dont have any reason, any excuse, or anything to explain why this post is lacking in updateness. I didnt really do shit, end of story. I did less shit then when i usually say 'i didnt do this', however, i have been trying to work on the map, its just a beast to carve out. tbh, i half want to stop for a while, jump on to one of my older projects and work on that, but thats not right, i shouldnt screw you guys out of playing fairy tail just because ive lost ambition to wor, on ft. I made a Resolution a Week ago, that this year I wouldnt give up. at all. and that includes on Fairy Tail, Ive been looking for a project I could do 100% with commitment enough to finish it since the day I joined Byond. When I lost the sourcefiles from ryan for the second time, I was devastated, I was broken, yeah i wanted to redo the base sprite, and rework the spells, but i wanted to do it at my leisure, not because i haf to. I sat myself down that day, and I conversed with myself, and I decided that I would be commited to Fairy Tail 100% or more, until I had nothing else to give.

So yeah, ill continue to truck on until it kills someone i have no connection to xD

so, I managed to carve out about a quarter of the main map, i should be able to start adding cities, roads, mountains and forests by the end of Tuesday.

So far it looks a lot better then the last three times I tried carving out the Map xD

theres been over a dozen people wanting to talk to me, and 90% of it is 'when will fairy tail be back up?'

so, tbh, unless its something important and possibly involving Iconners/Future Hosts, I probably dont care, since im already mapping the game and already have coded pretty much the entire pile of crap.

im not implementing Subscriptions right away, i havent had time to code them in, but their at the top of my list once i get the game running, along with a couple awesome magics, and other features im putting off for right now.
